Courtney E. McCandless is an associate at the law offices of Oshins & Associates, LLC in Las Vegas, Nevada. She practices in the areas of estate, business and asset protection planning.
Courtney is a Nevada native and was raised in Las Vegas. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance. Following her undergraduate studies, Courtney worked in the financial services industry for ten years, where she held her Series 7, 66, 9, and 10 FINRA securities licenses. She then returned to law school at the William S. Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas, Nevada where she graduated with a Juris Doctor in December 2014.
During law school, Courtney served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Gloria J. Sturman and Probate Commissioner Wesley Yamashita of the Eighth Judicial District Court. She earned high paper certificates (an award given to the student earning the highest grade in each course) for Advanced Drafting & Research in a Business Context, Civil Procedure II, Torts II, and Public Policy & Environmental Dispute Resolution. Additionally, she served as a Wills, Trusts & Estates Research Assistant and a Guardianship Community Service Program Course Instructor, where she was named the Outstanding Student Instructor.
Courtney was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 2015. She is currently a member of the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council.
